Installing or Replacing the Print Cartridge
- If the 500-Sheet Stacker option is installed, pivot the stacker tray up.
- Open the top cover.
- Remove the used print cartridge.
- Place the used print cartridge in sealable bag and recycle or discard.
- Remove the new print cartridge from the shipping container.
- Remove the print cartridge from the sealed package.

Do not open in, or expose to direct sunlight. This may damage the print cartridge.
Do not touch the shiny blue roller.

- Shake 4 times, as shown, to loosen toner.
- Place cartridge on a flat surface, hold it firmly with one hand, and with the other hand grasp the end tab of the sealing tape and pull the tape straight out horizontally. Discard sealing tape.
- Lower the cartridge into the printer, inserting the cartridge into the printer's guide channels. Push all the way in.
- Close the top cover.
